From 3 to 7 March 2010, the 15th international GAST fair was held in Split, comprising a series of specialised fairs:
15th food fair,
15th beverage fair,
15th hotel and hospitality equipment fair,
5th coffee fair,
5th FURNITURA – furniture fair,
15th wine fair – Dionizijana,
4th SATURN – Tourism Fair and
the GAST AROUND THE WORLD project.
In cooperation with the GAST fair, this year the Network of Associations of Persons with Disabilities of Dalmatia organised the campaign Good People in the Kitchen, which aims to encourage a change of awareness among all citizens about the abilities and capabilities of persons with disabilities. So at the fair, under the slogan “Disability is not a barrier, prejudice is the barrier”, well-known television and radio presenters cooked alongside persons with disabilities in a revue-style competition, and our students put their cooking spoons to work as well.
