Everyone who decided to spend last Saturday in Kaštela could enjoy broad bean delicacies in Kaštel Kambelovac.
After being cancelled several times due to bad weather, the 14th Broad Bean Festival (Fešta o’boba) was finally held on Saturday, 8 June 2019. Year after year, the festival has become one of the most visited gastronomic events, where you can taste traditional dishes, innovative dishes and a variety of quality wines.
“Year after year the festival keeps getting better. The jury thanks everyone, and hopes that each subsequent festival will be better and better, because as a jury we notice that the competitors bring increasingly higher-quality dishes year after year, and our job is by no means simple,” said jury member Antun Nišević.
Our school also took part in the event with a team of our first-year students, the “young hopefuls” – Matej Birčić, Duje Hrvatić, Roko Ribarović and Toni Jerković, led by Ante Birčić, a long-time participant in the Broad Bean Festival and its winner in 2016 and 2017.
