This year too our school took part in the inter-county Gastro 2016 competition, the largest competition in vocational education in Croatia.
The competition was held on 10 and 11 March, organised by the Tourism and Hospitality School Split and the Ban Josip Jelačić Vocational Secondary School in Sinj, at the Hotel Katarina and the Feniks restaurant in Dugopolje.
Students from all the schools demonstrated impressive knowledge, competing in 8 disciplines: Menu Preparation, Menu Service, Preparation of a Cold Savoury Display, Preparation of a Cold Sweet Display, Preparation of Bar Mixes, Hotel Reception Operations, Travel Agency Operations and Presentation of a Tourist Place – Destination.
This year our school was represented by third-grade students in 3 disciplines, and they took first place in the disciplines of Menu Preparation and Preparation of a Cold Savoury Display, thus qualifying for the national competition.
Our successes grow every year, and once again this year we can proudly say WALLNER SCHOOL CREATES CHAMPIONS!
