As every year, the Kamelija Cup is held as part of the Days of Croatian Cuisine, the central culinary event in Croatia, which this year is being held in Poreč.
Under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Tourism, the Days of Croatian Cuisine are held with the aim of promoting domestic culinary masters, ingredients from our region, and dishes of Croatia’s culinary heritage. The desire is to popularize the chef’s and pastry chef’s professions and to affirm their value in developing our country’s tourism offer. Also, the aim of the student competition is to enable them to exchange experiences and to strengthen awareness of the importance of the craft and of learning through competitions.
We are proud of our hardworking, smiling team made up of students Duje Kečkemet and Marko Momčinović together with their cooking teacher Goran Batarelo, who won a silver medal.
