The Taste the Mediterranean Festival brought together in Split more than 30 top foreign and domestic chefs, who cooked for visitors in 15 restaurants and at Split’s fish market (peškarija), and held masterclass workshops for young chefs, which took place at our school.
– Saša Began, chef of the Labrax restaurant and gastronomy ambassador of the Zadar County Tourist Board (Gault&Millau Croatia Great Chef of Tomorrow)
– From Slovenia came chef Filip Matjaž, Gault&Millau Slovenia Great Chef of Tomorrow, whose restaurant CoB from Portorož has been awarded a Michelin star,
– The masterclass program also featured a longtime participant of the festival, the Japanese chef with a French address Ippei Uemura,
– the best Croatian pastry chef according to the Gault&Millau Croatia 2024 guide, Dragana Kovačević from the Spinnaker restaurant in Poreč,
– the Italian chef Franco Favaretto, an expert in preparing salt cod,
– the pastry chef and honey expert Marie Laetitia Passagio,
– and the Michelin-starred Italian chef Nicola Fossaceca.
