Our students once again had the opportunity to show their enviable culinary skill when, this past Saturday, they took part in the charity event Good People in the Kitchen, held as part of the GAST 2011 fair. The event was organized by the Network of Associations of Persons with Disabilities, and Dino, Mateo, Hrvoje and Vicenco were assisted in the cooking, alongside persons with disabilities, by legends of HNK Hajduk.
The judging panel, in charge of assessing the ”dribbling between the pots”, the ”offensive”, the ”culinary formations” and the ”best Hajduk meal”, consisted of the Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Croatia Chris Hodge, the Italian consul in Croatia Augusto Vaccaro and the Deputy Prefect of Split-Dalmatia County Luka Brčić.
The ”best Hajduk meal”, that is, the best dish, in the opinion of the expert jury, was prepared by Hrvoje Roško, Hajduk player Ivan Buljan and Stipe Mladen Garac from Imotski.
The team of Mateo Dodig, Dražen Mužinić and Željko Komazin from Metković was rated the ”most offensive culinary team” (the team that puts in the most effort), and they received an award for the dish ”Torcida”.
The most likeable team, or, in football terms, the ”best culinary formation” was formed by Dino Taći, Jurica Jerković and Kajo Benzon from Split, who cooked the dish “Forza Italia”.
The ”best dribbling between the pots” was performed by the team of Vicenco Sopta, Zlatko Gall and Danijel Čelan from Omiš, who presented two dishes, “Turkey for the waterfall” and “Stairway To Heaven”.
