First impressions from Leipzig

As we announced, our group of 5 students, accompanied by a teacher, safely arrived in Germany, more precisely in Leipzig. How they got on and what awaited them in Germany you can read in this short account by teacher Ban in the attachment, and when the students themselves return soon, we will hear the whole story, and they will surely explain to us what this green background behind them in the photo is.

“As a vocational teacher of Hospitality Service, I stayed in Leipzig for 6 days (14.02 to 20.02 2015). I helped the students settle into the hospitality establishments where they would be doing their internship, and introduced them to the work system of the internship in the host country. I set off with the students from Split by plane at around 14:30, we arrived in Frankfurt at around 16:30 where we changed to a plane to Leipzig at 22:00, and we reached our destination at around 23:00. In Leipzig we were met by a taxi that took us to the guesthouse, where the owner of the apartment in which we would be staying welcomed us and instructed the students on the rules of conduct within the apartment itself. During my stay in Germany, I visited the establishments where the students are doing their internship. The restaurants where the students were doing their internship were at a high level of hospitality and offered à la carte service. These are establishments where various national cuisines are emphasised. With the students, I also visited a television studio (of the national television) accompanied by a guide; the studio is located in Leipzig, and the visit was organised by the Wisamar institute, which is our host in Leipzig.

On 20.02 2015 I returned by plane from Leipzig to Split.
