From 7 to 10 October, Split will become the gastronomic centre of the Mediterranean. In our beautiful city at the foot of Marjan, the 7th international Taste the Mediterranean Festival will be held, a unique event celebrating Mediterranean food, gastronomy, products, wines and Mediterranean cultural heritage. The festival will bring to Split world culinary stars and top chefs crowned with Michelin stars and Gault&Millau toques, who will be guests at Split’s leading restaurants.
Education, the exchange of experiences and networking with other Mediterranean countries are the main goal of the Taste the Mediterranean Festival, and the programme includes culinary masterclasses by top foreign and domestic chefs, as well as exclusive educational sessions for the students of the Wallner Private Secondary Hospitality School,
the Tourism and Hospitality School in Split and the Aspira business college. The Raise the Bar Academy powered by Coca Cola will also present its educational programme, aimed at young chefs, waiters, bartenders and managers.

It will be a unique promotion of Split and Dalmatia as the leading Mediterranean wine and gastronomy destination, as well as a promotion of the Croatian Mediterranean identity, the Mediterranean diet and heritage.
The Taste the Mediterranean Festival is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Croatian Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ).
