The students of class 2.b, in the Tourism and Hotel Management Commercialist program, were visited during their Commercial Law lesson by the lawyer Srđan Kalebota, our guest lecturer, who explained to them the concept of the law of obligations and, in particular, drew attention to reading every contract before signing it.
Anita Perkov Kalebota, a teacher of the group of economics subjects, once again listed and explained to the students the prerequisites that must be met for a contract to be valid, and our guest gave them a few examples that occur in practice and on the basis of which such contracts can be declared invalid.
In this way, the students actively participated in conducting the lesson and for a moment became lawyers, while the classroom for a moment became a courtroom.
In the continuation of their schooling, our students may become excellent lawyers, but above all we wish for them to become responsible contracting parties and to become aware that every contract has its obligations, but also certain rights that they can invoke.
