This week our school was visited by Ivan Pažanin, an excellent chef, known from the TV show 3, 2, 1 – cook!, in the company of the head chef of the renowned Split restaurant Kadena, Braco Sanjin.
Braco and Ivan enjoyed cooking with our students from 2.a and 3.a and the cookery teacher. On the menu were red mullet and scampi carpaccio, cream of asparagus soup, squid tartlets with purple cabbage cream, and asparagus salad with a poached egg.
The students, of course, had many questions about the popular show, and Ivan Pažanin told the children that the show came as a kind of addition to his career, but that the profession comes first, which is what he advised them too.
Ivan was thrilled with our kitchen and the conditions the students have at our school, so we invited him to be our guest again whenever he wishes, while Braco knows our school and students well, since for years our students have gladly gone to Kadena for their internship, and some have stayed on to work there.
