Superior Program for Students

SUPERIOR PROGRAM AT THE WALLNER SCHOOL

It is no news that the Wallner school encourages and rewards its talented students who have shown an interest in learning more. However, what certainly is news is the new school project called Superior Program, and it concerns precisely those previously mentioned students.

The program brings together a group of students who have shown the potential to acquire additional skills and advanced cooking techniques.

Under the guidance of a coordinating teacher, the school will provide students with advanced courses and presentations in the school kitchen, as well as guest appearances by various renowned chef and pastry chef lecturers.

Masterclasses are not the only reward for those eager for knowledge. Namely, the students selected for the Superior Program , will also have the opportunity to carry out practical classes in the school garden, where they will use home-grown vegetables and an outdoor grill.

During the school year, as part of the Program the students will have the opportunity to visit various restaurants, pastry shops, hotels and the best local farms.

We are proud of the new Program plus project, and above all of the fact that the Wallner school continues to have an enviable cohort of students who are talented and motivated for additional knowledge in the field of gastronomy and tourism.

STUDENTS OF THE WALLNER SCHOOL AS GUEST PRESENTERS

On Tuesday, 26 November 2024, the first lecture for the students of the Program was held.

The guest presenters were the silver-medal-winning graduating students Marko and Duje.

Marko Momčinović and Duje Kečkemet won a silver medal in mid-November in Poreč at the Kamelija Cup competition. In their presentation for the students of the Program, they spoke about their experiences at the competition, the importance of practicing and preparing, and the dishes they had prepared. Of course, the students then prepared those same dishes in the school kitchen, where they could exchange opinions about the flavors and appearance of the dishes.
