Global and European Money Week is marked from 25 to 31 March, all with the aim of raising the level of financial literacy among citizens.
According to the results of a study conducted by the Croatian National Bank, the lowest level of financial literacy is precisely that among young people up to the age of 19. That is precisely why Anita Perkov Kalebota, teacher of the economics group of subjects, strives to explain to our students, through theory and practical examples and in as fun a way as possible, concepts related to finance such as: the historical development of money, current and giro accounts, credit cards, interest-rate and currency risk when taking out a loan, internet safety, and consumers’ obligations and rights.
Students of class 1.b — Đana Bašić, Narda Ćoko, Mateo Dučkić, Paula Gale, Marko Jakelić, Luka Petrović, Antea Sunara, Danica Sićenica and Stipe Dino Šimundić — took part in the European Money Quiz and achieved third place in Split-Dalmatia County.
We congratulate our students on their effort and dedication!
