Another workshop was held at our school with guest lecturers from the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology and the Faculty of Hospitality and Gastronomy in Makarska, Assoc. Prof. Mladenka Šarolić, PhD, and Prof. Zvonimir Marijanović, PhD.
During the workshop Olive Oil and Aromatic Herbs in Dalmatian Cuisine, our lecturers presented to the students of class 3a in the Chef/Pastry Chef program and class 3b in the Tourism and Hotel Management Commercialist program the various categories of olive oil and explained the importance of proper processing and storage of olive oil.
The students had the opportunity to taste various kinds of olive oil with homemade bread, and then ranked and rated the oils according to their own preferences.
Expert presentations are of great importance for our students because they combine practical and theoretical knowledge that they will make extensive use of as future hospitality and tourism workers.
